Stephen Colbert Still Has A Wish

It’s been almost a month now and yet poor Stephen Colbert has still not seen his life long wish fulfilled: to have a presidential hotdog lunch.

He has gone to great lengths to make his heartfelt plea to president George W. Bush (as seen on the 2008-03-06 episode of the Colbert Report):

In his desperation poor Stephen has been repeating his plea to the president for every show!

Yet to no avail.
Please mister president heed Stephen’s call; make him the happiest man in the world!

President Bush, Have a Hotdog Lunch with Stephen Colbert!

please?

Family Guy – Saving Private Brian

The wait was long (more than 6 weeks), but I finally got to see a shiny new episode of Family Guy.

In last sundays episode, Stewie signs himself and Brian into the army and get themselves shipped off to Iraq.

Meanwhile, Chris gets himself caught up in a rebellious phase when he joins a rock band.

Although both subjects could have made the show great, its these two that dragged it down. Both are so old and tired that nothing new and shocking could be done with.

I’m sad to say I was disappointed with this episode.

Please Seth McFarlane, make a better one next time!!

The Daily Show is back

I always love to watch Comedy Central’s "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart".
They recently had a one week break and were back on the air last night.

The show was funny and sharp as hell, I especially liked the recap of George Bush’s total lack of leadership and denial of responsability.

And then correspondent Ed Helms layed it on… (wmv)

He discussed Bush’s list of failures so far. "As you know, administration fiascos are named alphabetically…"
Major Disasters of Bush Administration
By way of the list he hasn’t made thรƒ t many faults, now has he? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Another great snippet of Ed Helms’ piece:
Ed Helms: "And here’s the thing Jon, while everybody else is busy setting up commissions and finding fault through the President’s leadership, he’ll end up building a billion dollar dam in Arkansas."
Jon Stewart: "Why would he build a dam in Arkansas?"
Ed Helms: "His plan will be to fight the water there so we don’t have to fight it here in New Orleans."

The Daily Show is one of my favourite shows of all time.
Stay tuned for more reviews of this fantastic programme.
